Friendship

We were once close
But now I beg to differ
Nothing in common anymore
I guess we fell apart
I feel like you couldn't care less
It's like you dislike me now
I told you once and I repeat
It's not a one way street
I hate being the one to do everything
I try so hard
You barely move a muscle
And then you ask me why I'm sad
I guess it's time to move on
Find new people to socialize with
We were bound to part ways anyway
A year sooner won't make much of a difference
Another great friendship gone
Just like that
I truly thought this would work

Poetry

Poetry is my saviour
It keeps me from going crazy
I have too many things going on
No one knows about
All those thoughts and feelings,
Put into words.
Helps me digest and think
Without it,
I'll probably be dead
At times,
I just need to write
Something,
Anything
To keep me from blowing up
When I convert my emotions into words,
It feels like a relief
Like I talked to someone
Then I feel free

Too Much To Bear

Sometimes I just want to disappear
Right into thin air

Avoid all these problems and mishaps

Pretend to live someplace else
Pretend to be someone else

Unnerved

This noise is annoying and unnecessary

I just want it to go away

Your cries and attitude is getting on my nerves

You irk me so much and my ears hurt

Grow up

Learn to speak

Just stop

I want my peace and quiet again

I still love you though

Inspirational Books

I'm a bookworm. I usually read adventurous and romantic books but sometimes I stumble upon inspirational books. So far I've only read two that I recall and I loved both of them.

1) Sh*t My Dad Says - Justin Halpern
This book is basically a biography. It talks about Justin Halpern's life and his dad. There are many hilarious quotes by Justin Halpern's dad. I loved this book. The cover seems kind of boring but I guess you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. This book has kept me laughing the whole time. I fell in love with all the quotes and Justin Halpern's dad. His dad is an amazing character. The way he acts and what he says just makes you want to laugh. I loved this book.

2) Tuesdays With Morrie - Mitch Albom
This is a very eye-opening book. It's about an professor who is dying and his old student comes every Tuesday to visit him. During each visit, the professor recaps his life and talks about his experience. This book makes you realize a lot of things that you probably haven't noticed before. By the end, I was in tears.

Top 10 Ways To Break Up With Someone

I was talking to a friend when this idea popped into my head. I made a list of my top 10 ways to break up with someone.

Top 5 Ways To Break Up With Someone

1) Give them the "It's not you, it's me" speech
2) Text Message
3) Tell them you're gay
4) Facebook
5) Break up with them on Valentine's Day
6) Ask them if they would like to double date with you and your new boy/girl friend
7) Play them I Was Only Kidding By Weird Al Yankovic
8) Tell them you're not ready for commitment
9) Tell them that they can do better than you (aka you're not good enough)
10) Say you need a break or that you just want to be friends

How I calm My Anxiety

I'm a tennis player. I play about 4-6 hours a week in the winter and 15 hours a week in the summer. On the weekends, I play tournaments. I'm usually very nervous right before the tournament. I have over three years of experience and over that time, I found a couple of tricks/tips to help calm my anxiety.

I am usually start to get nervous two to three days before the tournament or whenever I find out the draw. The reason why I get nervous is because I'm insecure and/or afraid to lose the match. I try to google tennis tips that might help me out in the game. Also, I try to talk to my friends about it and have them re-assure me that I'll be fine. I try to boost my confidence and self-esteem. These are some of the things I do a few days before the tournament/match.

I get SUPER nervous a couple of hours before the tournament. I get butterflies in my stomach, I'm really jittery and I can't eat. To calm my anxiety a couple of hours before the match, I try to find ways to distract myself. I find that reading a book, playing games and doing something active tends to distract me. I usually play on my Ipod. Sometimes, if I'm REALLY nervous, my mom gives me a calming tea. Distracting yourself is the key when you're extremely nervous right before the match.

At the beginning of the match is the hardest time for me. My hands tend to shake and I get butterflies in my stomach. The way I cope with this is by warming up. When you're hot and sweaty, you forget about your problems and worries and focus on getting water. The beginning of the match is the scariest part because you don't know the player and who will get the lead. It's important to relax and just play. Don't try anything fancy. Just try your best and hopefully you'll win the first game. Afterwards, you become more relaxed and start to play better. Also, don't stop playing hard even if you're winning. You never know, the other player might catch up.

Those are the tips/tricks that help me with my anxiety during a tournament. You have to be prepared. Don't worry to much and try to distract yourself. Look confident and don't look nervous/worried/scary. Relax and just play how you normally play. And most of all, have fun.

I'm In Love...

...with my lip balm. I just bought it a few hours ago and I'm in love! Not only does it smell REALLY good, it's also VERY moisturizing! The perfect combination! The lip balm is by Nivea and it's in Fruity Shine, Strawberry. Words cannot express how much I love it! It smells like strawberry syrup and I just want to gobble it up! When you put the lip balm on, it gives your lips a sheer red tint. The packaging is really cute and it's very affordable. Did I mention that it also has tiny sparkles? In my opinion, it's perfect! I'm going to purchase the rest of the Nivea lip balm collection.

The Way To My Heart...

1) Flowers (black roses)
2) Chocolate (my weakness)
3) Lip Balm (Nivea)
4) Mints (Excel)
5) Adam Lambert (<3)

I Miss Being Your Friend

We used to be friends
Buddies
We used to talk
You used to tell me stuff
You used to not ignore me
Like always, I just had to mess it all up
Now, I regret it
Regret it all
Never doing that again
I learned from my own mistakes
I miss our conversations
I miss your retard-ness
I miss just talking to you
Without all this awkwardness
But most of all,
I miss you

Green-Wich Village By OPI

I love bright colours that stand out. I really wanted a neon green nail polish and Green-Wich Village was almost a neon green. I like the nail polish and I'm wearing it right now. It takes three coats to get the pretty green colour. It applies very sheer but after three coats, it looks fantastic! This nail polish is kind of a pale neon green. I thought it would be brighter but I still like it. This colour is perfect for fall time (I got it a season too late) but I'm still gonna wear it a lot. Green-Wich Village looks amazing with Black Shatter by OPI on top.

L'Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Ideal Balance Clarifying Toner Review

I finished my bottle of Nivea Visage Gentle Toner two weeks ago. I cannot live without a toner so I had to get one ASAP. My friend suggested that I buy the Garnier Skin Naturals Clean & Fresh Invigorating Toner. The store I went to didn't have any of the Garnier toners so I had to choose another one. I ended up buying the L'Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Ideal Balance Clarifying Toner. I really like this toner. I think it's better than the Nivea Visage Toners. This toner visibly minimizes pores & controls oil. It also has a fresh/cucumber smell to it. It leaves skin soft and smooth without tightness or residue. This toner is made for combination skin and is 200ml. One thing I don't like about the toner is that it claims to remove oil, makeup and other impurities. It doesn't remove makeup. You have to use makeup remover beforehand. Otherwise, this toner is amazing and it does what it claims to do. I'm probably going to repurchase it after I try the Garnier Skin Naturals Clean & Fresh Invigorating Toner.

Lucerne-Tainly Look Marvelous by OPI

I love this nail polish! It's a beautiful gray with white/silver shimmers. It's really nice. This nail polish goes on semi-sheer but builds up well.  This actually reminds me of the snow piles that collect in parking lots during the winter.  As the snow gets mixed with the bits of asphalt the plows churn up, it takes on this graphite appearance. It’s just not as sparkly in snow. I'm addicted to this colour.

No Title

So much tension in the air
Lies uncovered
Truth revealed
I can't stand this
The pain is too much to bear
Bickering and fighting
You are
This keeps happening every month
A never ending cycle
I can't live in this atmosphere
Nor can I work
Why can't this stop?
Do something
Just stop complaining
Stop Blaming each other
When you're both at fault
I just can't take this anymore
Why can't you both just shut up?
Is that too much to ask?
Do something
Anything to make this stop
Think about me and Steaven
Not just your selfish self

Fang

I got you exactly 2 years and 7 months ago
You were all black cept for the gray line down your spine
You were young and full of energy
As time went by, I saw the drastic changes
From black
To gray
To white
From young and active
To old and quiet
Just yesterday, you were so live
Jumping from one hand to the other
There was a sparkle to your eye
It was as if you were young again
I went to bed happy as usual
But boy,
Was I ever gonna get shocked
As I began my morning routine
I walked over to your cage
You looked asleep
I tried to wake you like I always do
But you were limp as a corpse
I was terrified and shocked
What happened?
Just yesterday you were alive
I shed a couple of tears and sent you on your way
Now,
As I lay awake,
I remember the good ol'days
I miss the squeaking of your wheel
That usually began at midnight
I miss holding you
I miss petting you
But most of all,
I miss you
Suddenly,
It dawned on me
Nothing is forever
This fact really horrifies me
But I know it's true

My Fears: Heights

Many people have acrophobia. I am not one of those people but I am severely scared of heights. I am so terrified that I can't even walk on the glass floor of the CN Tower! Being afraid of height is a disadvantage. I hate it. This is why I always try to do something that involves heights, in hopes that my fear of it will go away. During the summer, I attend camps where I go zip lining, rock climbing and do high ropes. I try to push myself to the limit. This year, at Camp Olympia, I did high ropes. It was horrifying! When I started, my legs were shaking like crazy and it felt like my heart was going to pop out. When I finished the coarse, I felt proud of myself. I hope someday, I overcome my fear of heights. Until then, I'll keep doing risky stuff involving heights.

My Fears: Deep Water

My childhood consisted of spending half my time swimming in the ocean. I don't know how my fear of deep water developed. Maybe because I almost drowned twice? All I know is that I'm extremely scared of water. I'm so afraid of it, that I shiver when I think/dream/watch a movie about it! I fine with swimming in a pool because the water is clear and there are lifeguards. Swimming in a lake is another story. Lake water is so dirty and brown/green that you can't see what's below you! I always get the feeling like something/someone is grabbing me. It's a horrifying experience. I can swim but it always ends up with me running out of the water, terrified. I think I'll stick to pools for now.

I Wonder What I'll Do

I want to do many things in my life. What I really want is to have a job in the future that pays well, is reliable and something that I love. I'm still deciding on what to become. One thing for sure is that I want to do something that involves criminals. It's kin of weird but I'm amazed by criminals. I'm interested in what they did, their background and why they act in such a horrible manner.

I was thinking about becoming a police officer but I'm not completely sure. I think I'll make a better lawyer. I have big plans, if I choose this career. If I study to become a lawyer and after ten years of working, I can become a judge. Maybe later I can even get into politics. My biggest goal is to become the president/prime minister and change the world. Right now, I'm still weighing down my choices and looking at the pros and cons. My decisions might change or stay the same. I guess only time will tell.

Elf Eyeshadow Brush

Above is a picture of an E.L.F. eyeshadow brush. E.L.F. is a website (www.eyeslipsface.com) that sells cheap, good quality makeup. Most of their products cost $1 and $3. You can also buy E.L.F. products at Target and some Wal Marts. I bought this brush at Wal Mart about 2-3 weeks ago for a dollar. When I first saw it, I noticed the packaging right away. It looked good and professional. When I first saw the brush, I was kinda shocked/disappointed for two reasons. Firstly, it looked really cheap (the handle) and it was tiny.  I guess this is what you get for one dollar. I still bought it because many people love this brush and I wanted to test it out. I used this brush numerous times. Here's my opinion. I don't like the handle but I do like the bristles. The bristles are really soft and densely packed. I like the way it applies eyeshadow but it feels more like a blending brush. Since the bristle part of the brush is kinda big/wide, it was somewhat difficult to apply eyeshadow in a specific area. Overall, I think the brush is worth one dollar. The handle isn't the best but the bristles were very good for only a buck. I would repurchase this brush.

Effects of Alcohol

Many of you have probably heard people say that drinking
is bad. But did they ever explain why? There are many effects. The main effects are short-term effects, long-term effects, cancer, alcoholism and dementia. Also,  many accidents are caused by people drinking too much. I hope you will enjoy my speech and learn something new.
Short-term effects of drinking depend on many things. Like; age, weight, height, gender and amount of food and alcohol consumed. If you intake a large amount of alcohol at once, you start to slur your speech, it disturbs your sleep, you feel nausea and even vomit. The next day, even a couple of hours later, you get a hangover, which  causes headache, nausea, thirst, dizziness, and fatigue. Doesn’t this sound awful? A lot of domestic violence and child abuse is caused by alcohol because after consumption, it makes one feel angry and abusive. And this is only for short-term drinking!
Effects of long-term drinking are even worse! If you’ve been drinking on a regular basis for a long time, you might want to reconsider this choice because this leads to addiction, commonly known as alcoholism. Over time, this will cause severe anxiety, tremors, hallucination and convulsions. Wait till you hear the rest! Consuming large quantities with combined bad nutrition is not a good idea. It may lead to permanent damage to vital organs, such as the brain and liver. Also, do not ever drink any alcoholic beverages while pregnant. It may lead to giving birth to an infant with fetal alcohol syndrome. This doesn’t always occur, but it’s better to be safe than sorry.
Many accidents on the road are due to people drinking and driving. It’s not a good idea to drive under the influence of alcohol. Not only do you endanger your life, you also put everyone else’s life at risk. Consumption of alcohol significally impairs the judgement and coordination required to drive a car. It also slows down one’s reaction time. A lot of issues from just intaking an alcohol beverage.
Alcohol consumption is linked with seven different types of cancer. Two of which are liver cancer and breast cancer. Can you believe that 3.6% of all cancer worldwide is caused by alcohol? Your risk of getting cancer increases even as little as three units a day. So why put yourself in such risk?
Alcoholism can lead to malnutrition. Some common symptoms are; muscle cramps, nausea, appetite loss, nerve disorders and depression. None of the symptoms sound pleasant to me! Alcoholism doesn’t happen in a day. Alcohol addiction can lead to osteoporosis, and bone fracture due to lack of vitamin D. It’s like a cause with several effects.
Serious loss of cognitive ability also known as the ability to think is known as Dementia. About 10% - 24% of dementia cases are caused by alcohol intake, where women are at larger risk than men. Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome is a type of alcohol-related dementia associated with alcoholism. After hearing these facts, do you really want to drink alcohol?
I’m not going to tell you that you shouldn’t drink alcohol. You’re old enough to make your own decisions. Before you heard my speech, did you know that there are so many illnesses and problems associated and caused by alcohol intake? I didn’t know. I think when people say drinking is bad, they should explain why instead of stating something we already know. Next time you decide to drink, think about the consequences. Think ahead. Remember my words when that first drink is offered to you.

YAFA Quadro Deluxe 4-Function Pen

This is the coolest 4-function pen!!!!!!!!! I love it! It's four pens in one. It has a yellow PDA stylus, black ballpen, Orange highlighter and 0.5mm pencil with an eraser! It's the most amazing creation ever! It has a gravity feed mechanism! It's as awesome as it sounds!
Here is how to use it:
1) Hold the pen normally.
2) Rotate the pen so the the desired point description is face up.
3) Press the thumb advance button to activate the selected point.
4) To retract the point, press the top part of the clip on the pen.

I'm in love with this pen! Instead of caring three/four different pens, I can just bring this one! The only thing missing is whiteout! This is a very unique pen and it looks really professional! The only downside is that the "highlighter" is actually an orange-coloured ink pen. Otherwise, this is an amazing pen! This company sells many fascinating pens with different features. I've never been this excited over a pen! I love it!

Books I love

I'm a bookworm. I LOVE books. I read at least 3 books a week! I'm always looking for something interesting to read. I HATE cliche, unoriginal and cheesy books. I cannot stand them! It's difficult to find books that suite me. So I came up with a list of books that I absolutely love!

1) I want to go home by Gordon Korman
This book kept me laughing the whole time! Every time I read this book, my stomach hurts afterwards because is so darn funny! It's about a boy named Rudy Miller and he is sent off to camp (it's on an island) . He hates it. He meets Mike, a boy who hates the camp almost as much as he does. The whole time he's at camp, he tries to leave. Miller is a hilarious character! Everything he does cracks me up. This book is an easy read that keeps you entertained the whole time. This book is written for all ages.

2) Playing with Fire by Derek Landy
This is a great book full of action and adventure. It keeps you excited. It's an interesting plot and characters. There is barely any humour but the book is still pretty good. This book is good for people who like a lot of action, fighting and an original plot. This book is good for people 12/13+.

3) The Forbidden Game by L.J. Smith
This book is amazing! I read it more than 3 times and I barely every re-read books. L.J. Smith is the author of The Night World series. I like this book because it is very creative and original. Some parts were kinda scary, at least for me. It has a bit of love and romance but it's mostly an action packed book. It's about a girl named Jenny and she buys a game for her boyfriend and friends to play. As they begin the game, they are sucked into the game. The game becomes a reality and they are forced to face their deepest fears and phobias. This is an awesome book that is perfect for almost everyone. I think this book is more for people ages 13+.

4) The City of Ember series by Jeanne DuPreau
These books are awesome! Again, the plot is original and full of surprises!
The series consists of four books; The City of Ember, The People of Sparks, The Prophet of Yonwood and The Diamond of Darkhold. These books are more for younger kids, (12+) but they are still an amazing read! These books are so good! They kept me wanting more and more! I couldn't put them down! That's how good they were!

5) Just Listen by Sarah Dessen
Sarah Dessen is my favourite author. I read almost all her books and there wasn't one that I didn't like! She's a talented author that writes books for people ages 13/14+. Her books are usually full of love, romance, problems and adventure. In almost all her books, the main character falls in love and then faces a problem. One time, the guy the main character liked had an abusive father. Most of Sarah Dessin's characters are quiet, observant, and have loud and outgoing friends. Each of her books are unique and most of all, they are original!

There you have it! My top 5 favourite books! As you can see, I really like originality, love/romance, adventure, humour and excitement! Now-a-days, it's really difficult to find a book that has everything I want. Too many books are cliche or/and are about vampires/werewolves. These are not all the books I enjoy ,but the titles/authors I mentioned, are my all time favourite.  In my opinion, books are works of art. Everyone has a different perspective and opinion. These were the books I'm head-over-heels in love with.

Forgive Me

This is just to say I miss you.
Your voice,
Your presence,
Your attitude.
Each day is a struggle without you.
If I could speak to you one more time,
This is what I would say:
I miss you.
I love you.
I'm sorry.
Forgive me for all the things I said.
Forgive me for not going to the park with you everyday.
Forgive me for being embarrassed.
That time,
At the airport,
I didn't know it'd be the last.
If I could relive those days,
Everything would've been different.
The guilt is eating me alive.
It hurts to just remember.
You were the best!
I wish you could have seen my brother.
Mom says you would've been proud of me.
I wish I had time to say goodbye
And see you one last time.
